SIMPLICIO SAYS IT ALL
The Simplicio family has long been revered for their talents as jewelry artisans, and this bolo attributed to Isabel Simplicio is a master class in understated intricacy. The textured sterling silver is centered by a striking inlay image of two horse heads in profile crafted from bone and shell, complemented by sterling silver drops and appliques. The black cord is a classic braided leather tipped with sterling silver aiguillettes. This Simplicio bolo literally says it all.
Isabel Simplicio (1928 – ?; Zuni). Mosaic inlay; nuget work. Wife of Chauncey Simplicio.
